Peter Clarke BEd, MA, FRSA

Peter is a freelance consultant specialising in training and writing for primary mathematics education.

He has worked as an independent consultant for BEAM Education, the Ocean Maths Project, SMaR+ PD and Cambridge Assessment International Assessment. He has also been a guest lecturer on initial teacher training and postgraduate courses. Before that he was mathematics advisor for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham on the Improving Primary Mathematics initiative, and a deputy headteacher and class teacher.

Peter is series editor of several primary mathematics schemes – for both the UK and international markets. He has written and edited over 400 publications and resources for organisations and companies such as BEAM Education, Collins Education, Cambridge University Press, Ginn, Harcourt Education, Heinemann, Pearson, Macmillan, LCP, Nelson Thornes, Philip & Tacey, Scholastic, CIVITAS, DfE, QCA, National Numeracy Strategy, Abu Dhabi Education Council and Teach Primary magazine.
